Hartshorn ; present number of men, 24 ; 200 feet of hose, in good condition, 300 feet bad, and 400 feet ordinary. This company have also a four-wheeled tender, in good condition.

Perry hose, No. 23 ; Foreman, Alex. V. Davidson — Located 48 Horatio street ; performs duty in the third and fourth districts House in good order; carriage in ordinary condition, built in 1849, rebuilt in 1855, by Pine & Hartshorn, and rebuilt in 1859, by William Williams ; present number of men, 2.5 ; 400 feet of hose, ordinary ; 300 feet bad, and 200 feet good. This company have also a hose tender, in good condition.

National hose, No. 24 ; Foreman, Anthony C. D'Ozeville— Located 253 Spring street ; performs duty in the third and fourth districts. House in good order; carriage in good condition, built in 1861, by C. E. Hartshorn; present number of men, 23; 400 feet of hose in good condition, 200 feet bad, and 400 feet ordinary. This company have also a four- wheeled tender, in good condition.

United States hose, No. 25 ; Foreman, Michael Dunn— No location ; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. At present out of service ; carriage in bad condition, Built in 1855, by J. H. Sickels ; rebuilt in 1857, by Pine & Hartshorn ; present number of men, 25. The apparatus of this company is stored at the Corporation Yard.

Rutgers hose. No. 26; Foreman Richard Sharp— Located 6 Norfolk street ; performs duty in the sixth and seventh districts. House in good order; carriage in ordinary condition; built in 1854, by Pine present number of men, 23: 400 feet of hose in good condition, 200 feet bad, and 400 feet ordinary. This company have also a hose tender, in ordinary condition.

Neptune hose, No. 27; Foreman, James H. Walsh — Located 179 Church street; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in good condition; carriage in ordinary condition ; built in 1856,by Torboss & Co.; now rebuilding by Charles E. Hartshorn ; at present doing duty with an old carriage ; present number of men, 19; 500 feet of hose ordinary, 300 feet bad, and 200 feet good.

Pearl hose, No. 28 ; Foreman, Edward W. Wilhelm — Located 26 1/2 Chambers street; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in good order ; carriage new, built in 1863, by Charles E. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 24 ; 500 feet of hose in ordinary condition , 300 feet bad, and 200 feet in good condition.

Metamora hose, No. 29; Foreman, John R. Platt— Located 15 East Eighteenth street ; performs duty in the fourth and fifth districts. House new ; carriage in good condition ; built in 1860, by John H. Sickels. Also, a hose tender, in good order ; present number of men, 25 ; 1,000 feet of hose, in ordinary condition.

George B. McClellan hose, No. 30; Foreman, Louis D. Richards- Located 244 West twenty-seventh street ; performs duty in the second and third districts. House, ordinary; carriage in bad condition; built in 1854, by Pine & Hartshorn ; have applied for a new carriage ; petition granted ; present number of men, 25; 590 feet of hose, in ordinary condition ; 300 feet bad, and 200 feet in good condition. Also, a four-wheeled tender, in ordinary condition.

Putnam hose, No. 31 ; Foreman, Patrick Carroll — Located 7 Jackson street ; performs duty in the fifth and sixth districts. New house ; carriage in good condition , built in 1859, by Charles E. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 24: 400 feet of hose, in ordinary condition; 300 feet bad, and 200 feet good. Also, a hose tender, in good condition.

Index hose, No. 32 ; Foreman, Samuel M. Slater— Located I8O West Forty-eighth street; performs duty in the first and second districts. New house ; new carriage, built by A. Van Ness & Co., in 1862 ; present number of men, 22 ; 1,000 feet of hose, in ordinary condition.

Warren hose, No. 33 ; Foreman, Henry C. Bennett — Located 118 Sullivan street ; performs duty in the third, fourth, and eighth districts. House in good order; new carriage building, by Charles E. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 23 ; 700 feet of hose, in ordinary condition, and 200 feet good. This company have, also, a four-wheeled tender, in good condition, built in 1861, by C. E. Hartshorn.

Hibernia hose, No. 31; Foreman, James A. McCormick — Located 109 West Forty-first street, near Eighth avenue ; performs duty in the first and second districts. Oceana hose, No. 36 ; Foreman, John Gilbertson — Located 205 Madison street; performs duty in the sixth, seventh, and eighth districts. House in good order ; carriage in good condition ; built in 1803, by Charles E. Hartshorn; present number of men, 25 ; 1,000 feet of hose, in ordinary condition. This company have also a hose tender, in good order.

Madison hose, No. 37; Foreman, P. J. McEntee — Located Sixth avenue and Thirty-second street ; performs duty in the first and second district. Doing duty from a temporary location, corner Thirty-second street and Broadway. Carriage in a bad condition ; have applied for a new carriage; petition granted ; present number of men, 25 ; 400 feet of hose, in ordinary condition, 400 feet bad, and 200 feet good.

Amity hose, No. 38 ; Foreman, Samuel Conover— Located 130 Amity street : performs duty in the third and fourth district. New house ; carriage in good condition ; built in 1859. by Jos. Pine ; present number of men, 21 ; 200 feet of hose, good, 400 feet bad, and 400 feet in ordinary condition. This company have, also, a four-wheeled tender, built by Chas. E. Hartshorn, which they own themselves.
