House new ; carriage in good condition ; built in 1859, by William Williams : present number of men, 25; 6OO feet of hose, in good condition, and 300 feet, ordinary; also a hose tender, in good condition.

Niagara hose, No. 2 ; Foreman, John Castles — Located 5 Duane street ; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in bad condition : carriage in good condition ; built in 1800, by Charles E. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 20 ; 400 feet of hose, in good condition, and 450 feet ordinary ; also a hose tender, in ordinary condition.

Independent hose, No. 3 ; Foreman, H. K. Woodruff— Located No. 211 Hester street ; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in ordinary condition ; new carriage, built by A. Van Ness & Co., in 1862 ; present number of men, 20 ; 450 feet of hose in good, and 450 feet in ordinary condition.

Marion hose, No. 4 ; Foreman, George Smith— Located 84 Attorney street; performs duty in the fifth and sixth districts. House in good condition ; new carriage, built by John H. Sickles, in 1802 ;. present number of men, 24 ; 450 feet of hose, in good condition, and 450 feet ordinary ; this company have also a hose tender, in good condition.

Edwin Forrest hose, No. 5 ; Foreman, John Petit — Located 18 Burling Klip : performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in good condition ; carriage in good condition, built in 1859, by William Williams ; present number of men, 19 ; 400 feet of hose in ordinary condition, 300 feet bad, and 200 feet in good condition.

Crotón hose, No. 6; Foreman, John Glass— Located 23  Gouverneur street ; performs duty in the -sixth and seventh districts. House new ; carriage in good condition, built in 1860, by Charles E. Hartshorn; present number of men, 25 ; 600 feet of hose in ordinary condition, 200 feet bad, and 200 feet in good condition.

Ringgold hose, No. 7 ; Foreman, James E. Morris — Located 74 East Thirteenth street; performs duty in the fourth and fifth districts. House new ; carriage in good condition, built in 1857, by William Williams ; rebuilt in 1802, by Charles F. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 23 ; 400 feet of hose in ordinary condition, 300 feet in bad, and 200 feet in good condition. This company have also a hose tender, in good condition.

City hose, No. 8; Foreman, John 8. Davidson— Located 39 Liberty street ; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in good order; carriage in bad condition, built in 1853, by Pine & Hartshorn; have applied for a new carriage ; present number of men, 20 ; 200 feet of hose in good, and 700 feet in ordinary condition.

Columbian hose, No. 9; Foreman, James Cook — Located 174 Mulberry street; performs duty in the fifth and sixth districts. House in good order ; new carriage, built in l862,by Wm. A. Van Ness : present number of men, 25 ; 200 feet of hose, in good condition, 300 feet in bad, and 400 feet in ordinary condition. This company have also a hose tender in good condition.

Liberty hose, No. 10; Foreman. Patrick Desmond — Located 3 Dover street ; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in bad condition, and too small ; have applied for a new house : petition granted : carriage in good order ; built in 1859, by Joseph Pine ; present number of men, 21 ; 400 feet of hose, in ordinary condition, 300 feet in bad, and 200 feet in good condition ; also, a four-wheeled crab, in bad condition.

Gulick hose, No. 11 ; Foreman, William H. Spear— Located 14 1/2 West Tenth street; performs duty in the third and fourth districts. House ordinary; carriage in good, condition; built in 1859, by William Williams; present number of men, 25; 200 feet of hose, in good condition, 300 feet bad, and 400 feet ordinary ; also, a hose tender, in good condition.

Washington hose, No. 12 ; Foreman, George Galvin — Located 380 West Forty-third street; performs duty in the first and second districts. House temporary, and in bad condition ; have applied for a new house ; petition granted ; four-wheeled tender, in bad condition ; have applied for a new hose carriage ; petition granted ; present number of men, 18 ; 300 feet of hose, in bad condition ; 400 feet ordinary, and 200 feet in good condition.

Jackson hose, No. 13 ; Foreman, William Stevens— Located 34 Mangin street: street; performs duty in the fifth and sixth districts. House in ordinary condition ; carriage in good condition ; built in 186O, by A. Van Ness A Co. ; present number of men, 23 ; 400 feet of hose in ordinary condition, 300 feet bad, and '200 feet good. This company have, also, a hose tender, in good condition.

Excelsior hose, No. 14; Foreman, L. N. Jones— Located 160 West Thirteenth street ; performs duty in the third and fourth districts. House in good order ; carriage in good condition ; built in 1862, by John H. Sickles; present number of men, 23 ; 200 feet of hose in good condition, and 700 feet ordinary ; also a hose tender, in good condition.

Atlantic hose, No. 15 ; Foreman, Francis J. Adema — Located 19 Elizabeth street ; performs duty in the sixth and seventh districts. House in good condition; carriage in good order; built in 1861, by O.E. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 21 ; 900 feet of hose, in good condition ; also, a hose tender, in good order.

Tompkins hose, No. 16; Foreman, James Murphy — Located 154 Norfolk street; performs duty in the sixth and seventh districts. House ordinary; carriage in good condition; built in 186O, by A. Van Ness & Co. ; present number of men, 25 ; 200 feet of hose in good condition, 400 feet bad, and 400 feet ordinary. This company have also a hose tender, in good condition.

Clinton hose, No. 17; Foreman, Silas Ling— Located 150 Fifth street, near First avenue ; performs duty in the fourth and fifth districts. House in good order ; carriage ordinary ; built in 1853, by Pine & Hartshorn ; rebuilt in 1859, by William Williams ; present number of men, 2.1 ; 400 feet of hose in bad condition, 200 feet good, and 400 feet ordinary ; also, a hose tender, in good condition.

Franklin hose, No. 18 ; Foreman, Matthew Beirne— Located 28 Beaver street: performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in bad condition ; carriage in bad condition ; built in 1856, by Pine & Hartshorn ; have applied for a new carriage; petition granted; present number of men, 25 ; 400 feet of hose ordinary ; 300 feet bad, and 200 feet good.

American hose, No. 19; Foreman, S. I. Ayres — Located 83 Greene street; performs duty in the third and fourth districts. House new: carriage in good condition; built in 1859, by C. E. Hartshorn ; present number of men, 19; 200 feet of hose good, 300 feet bad, and 400 feet ordinary. This company have also a hose tender, in good condition.

Humane hose, No. 20 ; Foreman, George Davis— Located 28 Ann street ; performs duty in the seventh and eighth districts. House in bad condition, and too small; have applied for a new house ; petition granted; carriage in ordinary condition ; formerly used by Hose Company No. 21 ; present number of men, 25 ; 400 feet of hose ordinary, 300 feet bad, and 200 feet good.
